Who we are
LUV YOUR WIFE (luvyourwife.com) is operated by Calvin Mann II, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@luvyourwife.com.
What we collect and why
- Account data — email address, sign-in credentials or Google sign-in identifier. Used to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Profile details — your first name, your wife’s first name, optional anniversary date. Used to personalise the app. Legal basis: contract.
- Your entries — what you log, the difficulty you select, your written account and the reflections generated for you. Used to provide the service, calculate points and ranks, and generate your private reflections. Legal basis: contract.
- Team and matchup data — team membership, weekly totals and results. Used to run team weeks and show finished team results. Legal basis: contract.
- Support messages — what you send us. Used to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interests in supporting customers.
- Usage and technical data — device and browser information, IP address, error and usage logs. Used for security, fraud prevention, and improving the product. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
Card and billing details are collected and processed by our payment processor, not by us. We never see or store your full card number.
What stays private
Your written entries and the reflections written for you are private to your account. They are never shown to your wife, never published to the public feed, and never used as a report card. The public feed shows only finished team week results — scores, days shown up, and a growth summary.
Who we share data with
- Service providers and subprocessors that host the app, store our database, send email, and provide the AI model that drafts your reflections.
- Our payment processor, for the sale of the product, subscription management, payments, invoicing and tax compliance.
- Professional advisers, such as legal and accounting, where needed.
- Authorities, where we are required to by law.
We do not sell your personal data. Some providers are located in the United States, so data may be transferred internationally; where required we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and entries for as long as your account is open, so your history stays with you. If you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal data, keeping only what we must for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable form, and you may withdraw consent where we rely on it. Write to support@luvyourwife.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls in our database, and restricted administrative access, to protect your data.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to run the checkout. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though signing in will not work without the essential ones.
